Whether you're an experienced fundraiser or you're just getting started, coming up with fresh and engaging ways to inspire support can make a real difference. Take a look at just a handful of ideas below to hopefully assist you with your fundraising efforts.
Bucket collection: Whether it's outside a popular supermarket, public transport hub or at a sporting event perhaps, old fashioned bucket collecting is still a very popular way of gathering donations. Greeting the public with a friendly smile and being able to speak about the cause itself can often make a real difference.
Sponsored challenges: It could be a bike ride, swimming a number of lengths at the local pool or skydiving from 10,000 feet! There's a challenge out there for everyone.
Cooking competition: You could organise a 'bake-off', pitting yourself against others in a culinary challenge, with an entry fee and a prize for the winner.
Sports tournaments: Maybe it's your local football or cricket team, competing against others with entry fees and prizes for the winning teams and the best player of the tournament. As well as raising funds for HRF, you would be keeping fit at the same time!
Charity auction: Start off by asking friends, family and businesses to donate a range of items. These 'lots' would then be put up for sale at a live auction.
