Zakat calculator

Calculating your zakat shouldn’t be complicated. Our a simple, user-friendly Zakat Calculator is here to help you determine the exact amount of zakat you owe. By using this tool, you can ensure your zakat payment is accurate, fulfilling this essential pillar of Islam as prescribed by the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

What Are Zakatable assets?

Zakat is due on specific types of wealth, known as zakatable assets. These assets include:

  • Gold and silver: If you own at least 87.48 grams of gold or 612.36 grams of silver, you must include their value when calculating zakat;
  • Bank accounts: Any savings, current accounts, or other forms of stored wealth are zakatable;
  • Cash at home: Money you have in hand should also be considered;
  • Investments and shares: Profitable holdings are part of your zakatable assets;
  • Money owed to you: Any debts owed by others that you expect to recover.

How to calculate the zakat you owe

The zakat you need to pay is 2.5% of your zakatable assets, provided their total value exceeds the minimum amount (nisab). The nisab is equal to the value of either 87.48 grams of gold or 612.36 grams of silver.

 Here’s a quick guide to using our Zakat Calculator:

1. Enter the value of your gold, silver, cash, and other assets;

2. Include money in bank accounts and cash at home.

3. Add any money owed to you by others.

4. Subtract any debts or liabilities.

5. Get your zakat total and the amount of zakat you need to pay.
